Our Founder's Story

traceyitsfinished.com was originally set up in 2003 to support people going through divorce and who were having contact issues with their children.

I am divorced and since losing both of my parents, I have been through various heartbreaks, including domestic violence. I believe that when we are most vulnerable, such as following parental bereavement, we are more likely to end up in narcissistic or abusive relationships, and it takes a lot of strength to build resilience, heal and identify the red flags to break the patterns that lead to unhealthy relationships.

You can read my full story of domestic violence by subscribing here and logging in.

Alternatively, if you are an agency, press or professional working in the field of domestic abuse, please email me at press@itsfinished.com for a password.

I bring you my story because I hope to prevent others from going through the level of trauma that I have experienced. It can happen to anyone, regardless of background, race or gender, and many people have shared stories with me that have made me realise there there is a need to share and support others.

This website is built from personal experience. I am not a counsellor, but I believe that there is nothing like lived experience to support and coach others. When I say that I understand what trauma feels like, that I know what it’s like to have your heart shattered into a thousand pieces and how much strength and resilience is needed to work towards feeling, happy, healthy and whole again, I mean it!

Let’s take this journey to rebuild our lives together, and create the future we truly deserve.

Love and care,
